Beach Party – POSTPONED to Sunday, 6/30

⛈ BEACH PARTY POSTPONEMENT⛈

All,

Due to possible severe weather forecast for our area tomorrow afternoon, we have decided to postpone the Annual Beach Party to Sunday, June30th.

We apologize for the last minute change; we do not make these changes lightly, and only have the safety of all members in mind.

Most forecasts are calling for strong winds and potential hail; the forecast for Sunday looked much for favorable so we decided to make the change.

We will follow the same schedule below:

Time: 12 noon until 10pm

Events:
* Kids Fishing Contest from 11:00am to 12:00pm for ages 5-10

Activities:
* Volleyball, Horse Shoes, Swimming, Bonfire

We’ll supply the hamburgers, hot dogs, chicken, sausage and peppers, kegs of beer, San Gria, birch beer, water, and soda.

We ask that you bring your favorite appetizer, side dish, salad, or fruits, and a dessert.

The cost is just $25 per family, or $10 per adult and $5 per child (12 and under). Payment is made at the beach on the day of the picnic.

Non-member guests are welcome but will need to pay separately.

We’ll also need some help with the cooking – please help us out and volunteer to spend some time at the grills. Just walk up and say you’re here to cook!

Hope to see you at the Lake this Sunday! (Please pass this message along to your friends to spread the word)

SHBC Party Requests

Dear Lake Saginaw Members:

We were recently made aware of some new legal, environmental, and liability changes regarding member events (specifically member parties) at the Lake, and we are currently reassessing member parties due to these new changes.

This DOES NOT affect club sponsored parties like the opening picnic and end of year pig roast.

While we work on gathering information and specifics, and until further notice, no member parties (birthday parties, family parties, etc.) will be scheduled in June and July of this year.

We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause, and we will keep you updated on any changes as soon as possible.

Thank you!

!Important! – Annual Beach Picnic POSTPONED to Sunday, 7/2

We’ve had a close eye on the weather forecasts this whole week – a large portion of the country is experiencing a lot of severe weather, and unfortunately it looks like those same weather systems will be heading into our area on Saturday.

We all know how hard it can be to make outdoor plans in the summertime whenever there are thunderstorms in the forecast, and somewhat maddening when the forecasters get it wrong.

Right now a large portion of our Saturday has a high percentage of storms from 11:00am right on through to midnight; we don’t want folks running for cover all day, safety of everyone is our highest concern.

Based on the significantly better forecast for Sunday (Sunny & 85 with almost no chance of rain), we’ve made the decision to move the picnic to Sunday.

Please let forward this message on to you family and friends who may be attending.

Spring Is Here!

Fellow Lake Members,

We don’t know about you, but this mild winter has been very welcome, and we’re looking forward to a warm spring and summer sun very soon. We didn’t have any big projects this past year, but there are talks of a new boat dock, and possibly a new lake deck (all up for discussion).

We’ve been maintaining the beach and lake, and still know it to be the best-and cleanest-in the area. We hope you appreciate the efforts made as Lake Saginaw continues to improve and remain a fun lake community that we can all enjoy with family & friends.

Remember, this is your lake, and we all need to take care of it, and be respectful of the rules and fellow members as well.

Sincerely,

Your Sparta Hills Beach Club Trustees
